It is the highest of the four values this project now holds for a kilogram of crude oil -- BAFU's own 43.1, ecoinvent 3.12's 43.4, ecoinvent 3.8's 42.3, and the IPCC default of 42.3 -- and the gap is the gross basis rather than a disagreement about the oil: Stepwise's own lower heating value is 43.2, which sits among the other three.
