"conversion_comment": "A standard volume onto an energy content, on the same EF 3.1 basis as the coals. This is the one row of the twelve where Stepwise's two statements about itself disagree: the substance block gives a higher heating value of 38.3 MJ/m3 and a lower of 34.5, and the method's `Non-renewable energy` factor is 40.3. The factor is taken, because it is the number the method actually multiplies an inventoried cubic metre by, and a mapping onto EF's energy-content flow is asking exactly that question. The disagreement is recorded rather than resolved: 34.5 is what ecoinvent's own cubic-metre row takes onto this flow and 36.0 is what its standard-cubic-metre row and both of BAFU's take, so 40.3 is 12% above the highest of them and worth a reader's attention. See #805."
